In a video posted on the social media site, the mother stands on a residential street in Denver, Colorado, next to her sobbing child as she reveals the truth of her daughter's deception to all her Facebook 'friends'.
The mum told the camera that her daughter had been lying about her age as well as posting pictures of herself in lingerie and wearing make up.
The mother then turns to her child and says: "You're 13. So why does your Facebook page say that you're 19? Are you 19?"

But the mum ignores her daughter's tears, adding: "Don't cry now. You wasn't crying when you was posting pictures on Facebook, was you?"
She adds: "You still have a bedtime, right? You still watch the Disney Channel!" before making her daughter confirm it to the camera.
She then tells her daughter that she will be staying inside to read for the whole of summer, with no access to TV and no time to spend with her friends.
Turning to the camera again, the angry mum also addressed the men who had befriended her daughter on the social network.
She said: "She's a kid and she's going to stay a kid. And as long as she's under my roof, she's going to do what I say."
The video lasts a total of five minutes and 40 seconds and has been viewed more than 11 million times since it was posted to Facebook.
Thousands of viewers have rushed to praise the mother, with one writing: "Great loving Mom! Say thank you child, someday you will understand and love your Mom for what she did."
But others have criticised the 'tough-love' approach, with one viewer adding: "Something needs to be done but not like this. That's the problem with our society, no parenting skills this is not cool."
